I apologize, it looks like I had some draft stuff for our wonderful stay in Muenster at the beginning of our trip, but never published it.
We stayed with old friends Eva and Carsten (and Maya and Milla!) in Muenster, it was so great to see them all again, it's like we never left in 2009, just picked right back up where we left off! :)

Amy, Milla, and Eva showing off their muscles :) |

So great to be with old friends! Eva and Amy have known each other since high school. |

Yep, the tower with the cages where they kept the atheists until they starved to death (in public!) |
 |
A closer look at what complete moral confidence looks like just a couple hundred years ago. How is it possible that this was viewed as justifiable? |
 |
Are you checking out that sword?!? |
 |
Government buildings with giant swords. Germany FTW! |
We also got to head out for ice cream, which of course was a blast :)
 |
The two Mayas hamming it up - ice cream and tickles, good times. |
 |
Wow! |
We also went to a cool historical site where they had a semi-functioning farm and lots of stuff from the "old days". Including wacky shoes (refer to my previous posts about me not understanding fashion FFI).
 |
This beauty was hanging over the door in the cool old farm house. Boars are terrifying. |
The market in Muenster was *awesome*. Lots of currywurst, espresso, dried fruits, and old friends (one of which we only briefly met in MN in college, and we just ran into him at the market!)

Maya and her new all-terrain transport. |
 |
Eva and Carsten! |
 |
Milla and Eva! |

More of the grosse Maya and kleine Maya playing in the backyard. The fun never stops here! |
 |
A great pic of Elizabeth and Dieter |
 |
Ella and Maya back on the seesaw that made them SO happy 4 years ago when we first got to Muenster from Amsterdam. |
 |
The whole crew! At Inge and Willy's house in Telgte (just before biking to the soccer match with Muenster-Bayern)! |
We miss everybody in northern Germany a LOT. We had such a fantastic time with you all - hope to see you again soon...
Thanks for posting these Muenster pics, Rick.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to see everyone and all so happy!
Pete
Yeah, it's really helpful for me to put them up too - otherwise I forget to quickly.
DeleteWe had a GREAT time with everyone in Muenster, can't wait to see them again.
